CATERPILLAR AWARDS NORDIC LIGHTS WITH SQEP CERTIFICATION
Nordic Lights has been awarded Caterpillar’s prestigious Supplier Quality Excellence Program (SQEP) certification.
On 21st March 2012 Nordic Lights was certified with a second Caterpillar SQEP certification.
Certification requires a fulfilment of Caterpillar’s stringent requirements regarding process control (quality, research & development, logistics, delivery performance, documentation, etc).
According to Frédéric Scoubeau, Process Control Engineer at Caterpillar, this process is a bilateral relationship where both companies move forward together in a strategic partnership. Nordic Lights has worked extensively on improving different processes.
- This is a team achievement, says Reijo Tiuraniemi, President of Nordic Lights.
Henri-Charles Box, Category Purchasing Manager at Caterpillar, stated that the quality department and customer service - in daily contact with Caterpillar - have done an outstanding job in improving communications. Nordic Lights is genuinely customer-orientated.
Nordic Lights is one of Caterpillar’s preferred lighting suppliers with a co-operation that spans over 20 years. The first certificate was issued in 2009 to Nordic Lights, one of the first ever lighting suppliers to achieve this recognition. Caterpillar’s certified companies are rarely found in Scandinavia.
