Adaptive Lighting

Adaptive lighting, also called intelligent or smart lighting, automatically changes light intensity or other lighting behavior in response to sensor data, operating conditions, or vehicle movement. Nordic Lights describes smart lighting as lighting that adapts without user input or gathers and transmits data through integrated sensors. In heavy-duty vehicles, the control logic can use inputs such as ambient-light level, vehicle speed, steering angle, attachment position, or camera and proximity data. The aim is to place the right amount of light where it is needed, reduce unnecessary power use, limit glare, and help the operator maintain visibility as conditions change.
