A dual-beam light provides two selectable light functions in one unit, commonly high beam and low beam, also called driving beam and passing beam. In Nordic Lights front-light applications, Dual Beam refers to combined headlight functions and should not automatically be interpreted as a combination of Flood and Spot work-light patterns. The two functions use different light distributions so the same lamp can support both near-field road illumination and longer-range forward visibility. Switching, wiring, approval, and mounting requirements depend on the product and vehicle.
