ISO 14001 specifies requirements for an environmental management system that an organization can use to manage environmental responsibilities and improve environmental performance. Nordic Lights states that its environmental management system is certified to ISO 14001:2015. The standard provides a framework for identifying environmental aspects, meeting compliance obligations, setting objectives, managing risks and opportunities, monitoring performance, and pursuing continual improvement. Certification applies to the organization and defined scope of its management system; it is not an environmental certification of every individual product or a guarantee of a particular product impact.
