An anti-glare coating is a surface treatment that reduces reflections from a lens or display. It is not the same as Nordic Lights’ Glare-Free optics, which control the light pattern with a defined cut-off line to keep stray light away from eye level. Such coatings can improve visual comfort when unwanted surface reflections would otherwise obscure what the operator needs to see. Their effect depends on the coating, viewing angle, lens material, and surrounding light. When choosing work lighting, glare control should therefore be evaluated as part of the complete optical design and installation, not from a coating claim alone.
