Color consistency describes how closely the color appearance of light matches between LEDs, lamps, and production batches, and how well it remains stable over time. LED binning and controlled manufacturing help limit visible differences in color temperature and tint. Good consistency is particularly noticeable when several work lights illuminate the same area, since differences can create visible patches of warmer, cooler, greener, or more magenta light. Consistency supports a uniform visual environment and reduces distraction. It is separate from Color Rendering Index, which describes how accurately object colors appear under the light.
