Nominal Current at is a product-data label that must be completed by a voltage or operating function. It states the typical current drawn under specified nominal conditions, for example at 12 V or 24 V, and is expressed in amperes (A). It is not the same as a maximum-current limit. Current normally changes with supply voltage, lamp output mode, temperature, and electronic regulation. For this reason, a value without its associated voltage and function is ambiguous. Installers should use the manufacturer’s complete technical-data entry when sizing conductors and protection devices, and should allow for inrush current or other limits when these are specified separately.
