A reach stacker is a mobile container-handling vehicle with a telescopic boom and spreader. It lifts, transports, and stacks intermodal containers in ports, terminals, and yards. Lighting supports container engagement, stacking, travel paths, and visibility around the machine. The boom allows the machine to place containers beyond the first row and at different stack heights. The operator must judge distance, alignment, twist-lock engagement, and surrounding traffic while carrying a load that can restrict visibility. Lighting should cover the spreader, container corners, travel direction, sides, rear, access routes, and ground around the machine.
