Tower Crane

A tower crane is a fixed, tall crane with a vertical mast and rotating jib, used mainly on construction sites. Lighting supports the hook and load path, jib, access points, working level, and areas around the crane while minimizing glare to the operator and surrounding workers. The operator may need visibility from a high cab to the hook, load, landing area, and building structure over long distances. Site lighting and crane-mounted lights often work together. Lamps should be secured against vibration and falling-object risk, aimed to reduce glare, and positioned so the jib and suspended load do not create avoidable blind areas.
